Directions for Use
The Delta Trap for trapping and monitoring many different flying insect pests. It is constructed using correx and is a waterproof, one piece, easily assembled and reusable trap for monitoring flying insect pests such as moths and midges. Depending on exposure to strong sunlight, it can provide many seasons of use i n the field. Each trap is supplied with wire hanger. Replaceable sticky wet glue inserts that fit into the delta trap are available separately.
The trap is available as standard in red and in customised colours depending on quantity ordered.
Material: Correx (corrugated plastic sheet, lightweight, waterproof and recyclable).
Roof 28cm long x 15cm side slope. 3.5cm overhang at each end to prevent water intrusion
Height to apex 11cm when formed
Floor area 21cm long x 20cm wide
The pheromone dispenser lure appropriate for the insect to be caught can be placed directly onto glue surface.
Assembly Instructions
1. Push folded edges together
2. Flatten base to form delta or triangular shape
3. Fold up one end of the floor and lock the tabs into the slots in the roof
4. Attach support wire into the pre-cut holes in ridge
5. Insert glue sheet with pheromone lure into the open end
6. Fold up the other side of the floor and lock the tabs into the slots
7. Suspend in the area according to instructions appropriate for the insect pest being monitored.
Important Note
The red colour, aids location of the trap when placed in an orchard and is also a colour least attractive to bees.
Top Tip
To maximise usable life, remove trap at the end of the catching period and store in a cool dry place until next season.
Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight will degrade the plastic and shorten the usable life.
Dispose in normal non-recyclable waste.
