Exoroach® is a large format cockroach trap designed to control both nymphs and adult cockroaches. It’s robust construction makes it ideal for busy areas and the sealed design ensure it will work well even in wet and humid environments.
It can be used as:
- A standalone control system
- A monitoring system for auditing infestations
The trap works continuously 24/7, helping identify infestation sources while remaining easy to service.
How Exoroach Works
The Exoroach trap uses a natural trapping mechanism:
- Cockroaches encounter the trap during normal foraging activity.
- A food lure tablet attracts them inside.
- They climb onto a specially designed bridge coated with Exoroach powder.
- Powder particles adhere to their feet and tarsal segments.
- The insects lose grip and fall onto the glue board below.
- Once trapped, they cannot escape.
Over time, trapped cockroaches release aggregation pheromones, making the trap increasingly attractive.
Why Exoroach?
Traditional cockroach control often relies on:
- Insecticidal gel baits
- Insecticide sprays
However:
- Public concern over pesticide safety is increasing.
- Cockroach resistance to insecticides is becoming more common.
- There is growing demand for environmentally positive pest control methods.
Exoroach addresses these issues with a pesticide-free approach.

Placement Advice
Place traps in:
- Warm locations
- Damp areas
- Dark spaces
- Along room edges
- Under furniture
- Under equipment
- Areas where adults have been seen
- Areas containing egg cases (oothecae)
Monitoring
Check the trap after 4–72 hours.
If no cockroaches are caught:

Frequently Asked Questions
What species does Exoroach catch?
Exoroach catches major pest species including:
- German cockroach (Blattella germanica)
- Oriental cockroach (Blatta orientalis)
- American cockroach (Periplaneta americana)
- Australian cockroach (Periplaneta australasiae)
- Brownbanded cockroach (Supella longipalpa)
- Asian cockroach (Blattella asahinai)
Why should cockroaches be controlled?
Cockroaches are capable of carrying:
- 32 bacterial diseases
- 17 fungal diseases
- 3 protozoan illnesses
- 2 viruses
They can transfer pathogens from contaminated areas (such as sewers) onto food surfaces.
Why is Exoroach effective?
Exoroach combines:
- A highly attractive food lure
- Electrostatic powder technology
- A specially engineered trap design
Cockroaches pick up charged particles that interfere with their ability to grip surfaces, causing them to fall into the glue base.
buy nowHow long does Exoroach remain effective?
The trap itself is reusable.
The following components have an approximate lifespan of 3 months:
- Powder treatment
- Glue board
- Food lure
Replacement is also recommended when the trap becomes full.
Service kits are available from distributors.
How many cockroaches can it catch?
Capacity depends on species size.
Research at the University of Southampton (UK) recorded approximately:
- 5,000 German cockroaches retained in a single trap.
Expected capacity:
- Around 100 adult American cockroaches before servicing.
How much supervision is required?
The trap can operate unsupervised until full.
Recommended inspection schedule:
- Check weekly initially.
- Determine infestation severity.
- Adjust servicing frequency accordingly.
Trap catches typically:
- Rise quickly after deployment.
- Decline over time.
- Occasionally show smaller secondary peaks.
Trial results
South Africa Trial (2004)
A pest control operator recorded catches over a year.
Adult cockroach counts:
| Month | Approximate Count |
|---|---|
| April | 242 |
| May | 404 |
| June | 485 |
| July | 278 |
| August | 89 |
| September | 18 |
| October | 11 |
Observations:
- Installation occurred in April.
- Egg cases hatched inside traps, capturing juveniles.
- Temporary increases may result from cleaning, pesticide use, or re-infestation.
- By October, infestations were largely under control.

India Trial (2008)
Studies in Bangalore and Chennai evaluated:
- Reduction in trap catches over time.
- Pre- and post-installation population counts.
Results
A significant reduction in cockroach populations of 80–100% was recorded.
